- Don't Swap ROFS2 files between different phone variants. This will kill your phone!

@Binh24: flashed with your UDA and all my QT Apps are working, but flashing with empty UDA and installing QT, don't open anything.

@Binh24 Hey! there is no need to take a screenshot. You cannot get into the connectivity settings at all. When you get inside settings and tap connectivity, it just goes back to menu! Please give a fix for this!

ReplyDeleteThe problem with the backspace button has been there since the first c6 port. I guess it is a problem that cannot be fixed. You know, there is no full screen keyboard on C6s.

ReplyDeleteBut after flashing this firmware to my phone, my phone has become terribly slow.It just hangs every 5-6 second and is drinking battery like water.Without no use also my phone battery is dieing within a day.
Can anyone tell me why my phone has become slow?

ReplyDelete@Vivek: Mate I've tried this before but it didn't work. And then never tried again. Because you don't need it. You can install it without problem after flashing. Just let me tell you how to do this:
Delete these files:
...sys/bin/pipelib.ldd
...sys/bin/rpipe.dll
...sys/bin/signalserver(10-1).exe
...sys/bin/signalserver(10-2).exe
...sys/bin/signalserver.exe
...System/Install/openc_signalserver_stub.sis
and this folder:
...resource/openc
after repack, you should be able to install qt and ovi store without problem. If it doesn't work, contact me.
And of course one more thing. U have to put this into rofs2. http://www.multiupload.com/7Y69FNKWHC

ReplyDeleteYa have to open the rofs2 file which you downloaded from here with Nokia Firmware Editor. Open, extract, make the changes you need(deleting files and putting news) and then repack/rebuild. After it finishes repacking, there will be a file named xxxxx_rofs2_ReBuilt.V01. You will use the ReBuilt one to flash.

ReplyDeleteI have an unpleasant problem with tv out function in a modded firmware C6v40. Already tried to fix it by chanching Staticfeatures.dll files but it does't work after changing it. When I try to set the function running it throws me out in the menu! I would like to upload the rofs2 file somewhere and I would like to ask the author of this blog or someone who has skills in modding C6 firmware help me with my problem. I think the problem comes from one of the other mods but God knows wchich one is it. I'd like to keep the current modded firmware because it's modded just on my taste and everything is running well except the tv out function. Waiting for you replies and your generous support! Vivek my friend, I've posted before but this crappy blog keeps on deleting my posts. Whatever... Firstly, you cannot add any additional home screens to any c6/n97 fw. And secondly, i have to know if qt mobility can be installed without any problems or not. If it can be installed without problem, the qt setup you have has some problems. Can you see qt mobility in application manager? If you cannot, you can be sure that your qt mobility setup has got some problems. So, in this situation, you have to change your files.(Try this:http://www.multiupload.com/X371WZM9ZY) The other possibility that makes you have some problems about qt mobility is that you didn't deleted one of the files in the filelist that I gave to you. So, be sure that you have deleted them. If any of them remains there, it can cause problems.

ReplyDelete@Jens: http://www.multiupload.com/IHFXG8PLHH I use this. I use camera occasionally so I don't know if it is a proper solution. But I've made a couple of tries and not seen a problem. Try this but I guess there is not a proper mod to solve this, of course if it is a problem... And one more thing... I don't think this is a problem. It says "already in use" because it's already in use. You have to wait for a second before trying to delete.
