Was able to instal but theres some bugs
ReplyDelete- contact widget on homescreen aint working (you can choose favourites contats but they don't apply after "ok"),
- favourites contacts dissappear from contacts list (lol) but you will see them when starting a sms and then add recipient,
- when time is up for "light-time out" screen goes completely black and lock - you cannot wake phon up by touching the screen (as you should) only by pressing physic keys on phone (power or volume or camera)
- battery usage indicator is crazy wild (showing full battery for half day of extensive web download, then after restart theres only 1 stripe!)
FW still uses lot of RAM (only 47,2MB at start free, and quickly 15MB can be used for nothing) but is unbelievable fast :)

all ported firmware have same problem that nokia messaging unable to install and inbuilt email client dsn't support pushmail feature.

Report: I was able to install CFW with the C6 Core V41 V32 on my 5530. Yo when you released the Core V40 of 5530, I updated the phone using CFW 5530 V40 available in the first post. But when installing the CFW with the C6 Core V41 V40 of 5530, even renaming the charges that JAF files are corrupted.
ReplyDeletePerhaps Rofs20 C6 V41 is not compatible with the 5530 Core V40.0.003, I may be wrong, but do not know why I can not cook CFW C6 V41 V40 with the 5530 New Core. Discarded the possibility of problem in Core V40, because I can install the CFW 5530 V40 normally.
Unfortunately I can not install CFW with the C6 Core V41 V32, for I should have a nice brick.
About JAF files are corrupted - Check ROFS2 file name.

ReplyDeleteReport: I have found why not get Cooking CFW C6-V41 with core V40 in 5530. The problem was the name of Rofs2 where I renamed it from 32.0.007 to number of the core 40.0.003, but pay more attention to window in JAF, I realized that in the program where appears the paths of the files for flashing, he mentions rofs2.V05, and the file was downloaded rofs2.V20. I had not noticed it, so that when it comes to cooking CFW, the warning window that appearsafter clicking on the button "Flash", he did not recognize the file PPM is ROFS2 precisely because he is such extension V20 and not as V05, according to the program references. And seeing your more blog post in the CFW Original of 5530, you mention changing the name ofROFS2 to "RM-504_40.0.003_prd.rofs2.V05." I do not know if more people had this problem,but it would be good to inform the detail in the post.
ReplyDeleteWell, I noticed that right after cooking CFW, the device is for a long time at the white screen of "Local Mode", a 3 ~ 5 minutes and then it shuts down. This also happens with the Original CFW5530. I wonder if it would cause a problem?
NOTE: On CFW C6-V40 also happens the same problem of the flash not recognizing rofs2, I believe with the CORE V32 it recognizes the ROFS2 as V20 and CORE V40 it recognizes theROFS2 as V05.

Rohit,Did you flash new core V51.6.2 ? If so you need to use that core ! Remember my core was use for large ROFS2 not for original FW.

If I flash your C6v41 ROFS2 after renaming it, JAF can't pull the phone but it boots if you take the battery out and reinsert it. However, if I cook it with NFE, the phone doesnt boot.

A lot faster as Phone memory is more free.
Anna browser latest.
Green call key blink twice with the 'battery low' notification and when the phone is plugged, the green key keeps lighted and switch off when the phone is fully charged.
You can still customize your phone as you wish. No expired license, app signing. Just install.
Media key of 5800 often DON'T work after the firmware install and phone hard reset. If it happens, switch on the phone, let it start, and when the home screen comes and WHILE loading the widgets, keep on pressing the media key from 1/2 a second repeatedly and after a little while it will start to work! It won't go away again till if you hard reset your phone. If it happened, do this again.
Bugs seen so far- The 'swipe to unlock' wont turn landscape, messing the landscape home screen for a second.
- All the lights keep turned on when phone is charging while switched off.
ALL OTHER is WORKING PERFECT AND MORE!!!
ROFS2 file must be renamed with the version you downloaded.
ReplyDeleteExample. My phone, Nokia 5800 RM-356 is with the FW V60.0.003 (original). So I downloaded the files for that (V60.0.003) FW, given link, and ROFS2 file, common for all of them. Then I renamed the ROFS2 file for the FW I use, in my case it was -RM-356_60.0.003_prd.rofs2.V01
NOTE the '60.0.003'. You should reanme the ROFS2 file with the FW version number you are going to install like....
RM-356_52.0.007_prd.rofs2.V01 etc.
(in JAF, if it still isn't recognizing the file, locate it manually)

I have downloaded Rofs and core for v60.0.003 and renamed the rofs2 to the same.. but all got failed phone didnt get flashed anyway... then i tried to rename rofs2 as RM-356_60.0.003_prd.rofs2.V05 while u had provided v01 in your refreshed core of 5800 RM 356.. Now it is all gud when flashed with renaming ROFS2 to V01.... No bug found till now.. Thanxxx BINH24 for this cool release..
